See The Shoot: Nick + Andrea

Nick & Andrea had a small intimate wedding at The Wurlitzer and I was all for the upstairs warehouse area. They were not sure if they would like the images up there and I reassured them that they would be KILLER!
They were referred by someone who used to babysit my daughter. Referrals are the best, am I right?

These love birds were set up on a blind date…a very successful blind date.

The Details

Details are important. Check out the details from the day! They are just a small clip of the story, but dang are they beautiful images.

The First Look

As I tell all my brides… just do it. It’s an imitate moment where you can share together and not have to keep it together in front of all your guests. This groom was BLOWN away!

Wedding Party

Although they had a small wedding party, they knew how to have fun!

The Bride and Groom

Okay, I have a lot to say here. Hang on tight.
Roger and Rockie are the PERFECT match. They had their engagement session at the same location we went to the above images. It’s important to them. They are so passionate with a side of goofy. I love it. They were my ideal client. Rockie has a special surprise for Roger on the day of their wedding. She also booked a boudoir session and decided to get a black book to gift to her man! He LOVED it (maybe not the opening it in front of the camera part.. but we wanted to get the reaction)

The Ceremony

Short and Sweet! It was such a beautiful ceremony. But let’s talk about the location for a minute!
Niagara Crossing is the location, its balcony works so well for wedding ceremonies! The only complaint was a man mowing his lawn during the ceremony but i’m sure he does that for all the wedding they do just to be that guy. When I got there, my phone said “Welcome to Canada” as we were just across the river in Lewiston.

The Reception

Time to PARTY! They had some amazing moments. If you know me, you know I LOVE getting moments with the older folks. The reason I have such a passion for those images is because those people will more than likely not be in your life a whole lot longer. There was also a moment where they got grandma out of her wheel chair and held her up to dance and I thought that was so special.

See The Shoot: Josh + Megan

On May 20th, 2022 Josh and Megan said “I do”
It was small, intimate, and beautiful.
Buffalo Botanical Gardens was the perfect choice!

Josh and Megan decided to have their first dance and parent dances follow right after the ceremony before family portraits. T
hey plan on having a small reception next year with more family and friends.

See The Shoot: Steven + Kristina

4.30.22

Steven + Kristina found me last minute when they found out the photographer they booked was moving out of state. When I saw the inquiry in my inbox, and realized that they needed assistance I could not back down, especially when I read that it was at The Sterling. After talking with the couple, I knew that they were a good fit for me. It was such a beautiful day…

Getting Ready: The Venue had such a beautiful bridal suite. The lighting and colors in the room was perfect for my style.

First Look: Although the cat walk was tricky to get the right angle, I think its such a great idea! It’s worth having a second shooter with you to get the right angle! I love the way that he looked at her <3 EVEN WHEN THEY ARE ALREADY MARRIED! Yes, they were already married… Thanks to covid.

Ceremony: The ceremony location was pretty. The only downfall was the sunshine mid day. As photographers, we work with what we got and have to adjust for various lighting situations. Check put the beautiful building behind them tho! ugh! The windows are so cool!

Wedding Party: OMG This was such a fun group of people! As you can tell, they had so much fun! From posing like the opposite sex, to screaming at the top of their lungs for some fun shots, It was amazing.

The Couple: UGHH! Such a beautiful couple! I can not express enough about how much love there is between them. The way the look at each other, the way they LOVED every moment of the day… LOVE

PARTYYYY: They finally got to celebrate their LOVE! It was such a great time and good people. They ended the night with a sparkler send off!

Why You Should Book A Cake Smash Session?

The Cake Smash

Cake smash sessions are a milestone in your child’s life. It’s a fun way to celebrate and document them turning the big ONE! It’s not only fun for the children, but the parents have fun too. I can not tell you how many parents watch in AWE while their little one is smashing into a cake and having s good ol time. The photos are amazing, but the experience as a whole is like nothing else.

FAQ: Smash Sessions

Can we pick the theme? Yes, You can pick the theme and we will produce the set!

Theme: The possibilities are endless. Are you a sports family? Do they have a favorite movie or show?

Do we bring the cake? No, I will supply the cake.

My kid has allergies, Can you accomodate that? Yes, Of course!

Can we get family photos too? Yes, we will do that first!

Can siblings help or be in some of the cake smash photos? Of Course!

What’s Included/What’s the Process?

The session is 1.5 hours long. We will start by photographing the family. Then I will do images of the one year old before bringing out the cake. Once the cake comes out, we will no longer be able to take any extra family/sibling shots. Once the cake session is done, I will set up a tub for a splash session. This is the quickest part because the water cools off fast and we don’t want ALL the water to end up on the floor.

The package comes with 20 digital images. After your session, I will send you a link to an online gallery where you will pick out your images. You can select extra images fro $7/each. Once you select the images I will do final editing/touch ups to the images. You will be able to download them once I am done.

Booking A Boudoir Session After A Divorce!

One of the most stressful and emotionally draining experiences in life is divorce. Women are hit the hardest due to a loss of or reduced income, being the primary caretakers of children, losing some of their support system, and sometimes needing to relocate. It all adds so much more stress on to daily lives.

The various stressors that come with a divorce can take a toll on both mental and physical health, as well as emotional well-being. One way boudoir photography can be therapeutic during a time of divorce is that it can help women reclaim their power and rebuild their self-esteem.

Reclaim your POWER

Divorce happens for a variety of reasons. While a toxic marriage can negatively impact self worth, the stress of a divorce can be equally traumatic.

With boudoir photography, women are given the opportunity to regain their power. How so? It starts with giving women the space to reclaim their humanity. During a boudoir photo session, women are in complete control of their own bodies and they decide the rules. They decide the stories they want to tell. They leave the studio feeling like they can do anything.

Finding You Again

One of the common side effects of a divorce is a loss of identity, even a loss of a sense of purpose.

One way boudoir photography allows women to own their narratives is by defining what those narratives are during a session. With the help of an amazing photographer, women become the protagonists who shape the direction of their stories in whichever way they are comfortable. There is no right or wrong way to tell a story. There is only the validity of the story being told and the lived reality of the person who forged that story.

Get That Confidence back!

Boudoir Photography helps build confidence by helping women feel comfortable with their own bodies and redefine what it means to be sexy. During a boudoir session, women gain the unique experience of having their existence validated with the utmost respect they deserve, most importantly, they get to be sexy for themselves.

At Richele Renea Photography, we’re here to serve as a steppingstone to the next chapter in your life’s journey following a divorce. Whether you come to reclaim your power, tell a story, or just want to rebuild your confidence, we’re here to give you the experience of a lifetime. Fall Mini Sessions

Fall Mini Sessions 2021

This year, I have only a couple weekends available due to the high demand of weddings. Because of Covid, I have more weddings than ever before — not complaining, but I will only have mostly week nights available for fall min sessions this year. They will still be amazing and I am so excited to photograph all the beautiful families in the Fall. The will include 10 digitals — It’s usually only 8! Im also gifting a print to each client. It’s definitely worth it!

Why do the first look?

Should you do the “First Look”?

What Is the First Look?

The first look is when a couple sees each other for the first time on their wedding day. This intimate moment typically makes for an emotional photo opportunity.

RM-3422.jpg

Pros of doing the “First Look”

You can get many of the photos taken before the ceremony: It gave you a moment before the day officially started to connect with one another and take a deep breath. You can get all the bridal party shots and some couple shots before the ceremony to see some time.

It gives you and your partner a few moments together: The “First Look” does not spoil the ceremony. You will be full of emotions no matter what. It’s a moment you can be emotional without people watching you.

You can capture an emotional moment on camera: A wedding is an intimate, emotional experience, and a first look means I can capture a couple together in that moment. Yes, walking down the aisle is emotional, too, but you’re not together in those photographs.

Cons

You'll have to get ready earlier: If you’re having a ceremony earlier in the day, a first look will mean you have to be ready even earlier than you’d planned.

Lighting may not be ideal: Your photographer and videographer will try to be discrete and as far away as possible, but we will still be around. Lighting during a first look isn’t always ideal. They usually happen during the day, when lighting is harsh, so you may need to take more photos after the ceremony anyway.

When the groom is standing there waiting, he is super anxious to see his soon to be wife. He has that brief moment of silence to prepare for the moment that he is about to endure. With doing a first look, he can be emotional for you. Let’s face it, all brides want to see the groom cry. You are more likely going to see a better reaction when a hundred people are not looking at him.
